Are you being a hard-ass, anti New Year “Resolutions” maker just because everybody else is doing it?  Does the thought of making Resolutions make you cringe? Don’t rob yourself of success and growth because you feel you’re jumping on the band wagon of short-lived goals–just like everybody else. I know, you want to stand out and go against the grain.  I get it. Here is my spin on resolutions, just as the seasons change four times a year, New Year resolutions are only reminders take the time to reflect on what you’ve accomplished last year, what you weren’t able to complete and what you’ve failed to start. Resolve any open issues that will help you move forward –it’s the beginning of the calendar year, an excellent milestone marker to document your success growths.  That’s it.  Plain and simple. Dictionary.com definition:

res·o·lu·tion

/rezəˈlo͞oSH(ə)n/

noun

a firm decision to do or not to do something.

How does that make you feel about resolutions now?  Are you more comfortable using the word decision instead of resolution? I urge you to make a mindset shift from resolutions to decisions. You are going to have a make decisions in order to thrive in anything you do.  Getting out of the bed everyday is a decision. Happiness is a decision. Your personal growth is your decision. Why not start now?  I can help you prioritize your decisions by making them SMART and specifically designed for you to attain, but it’s up to you to decide if you want more for yourself. Don’t burst your own bubble by denying yourself the opportunity to change and grow.  Success is yours.  The word resolution is a growth marker not taboo. One step at a time, you will flourish in having the best year every.
